While I love the sun I have to confess that autumn is my favourite fashion season. I have a weakness for coats and buy at least one (well maybe two) every season, so you can probably begin to imagine what my wardrobe looks like. I also love sumptuous winter knitwear and the thrill of splashing out on a pair of gorgeous leather boots and this year I’m on the look out for the perfect platform pair.

Well for starters it’s all about statement sleeves; extra long, billowing or bell, they’ve gone big this season. For winter coat inspiration it’s all about the puffa which has undergone a dramatic make-over and should be making its way straight into your winter wardrobe OR you could invest in a stylish tailored navy coat. Sleek or snug, which will you choose?
But before the temperatures drop you might fancy investing in a retro cape. Bang on trend and an easy wardrobe update. Key fabrics to look out for are faux fur, velvet, metallics, patent and pinstripes. And for anyone looking to channel a sportier vibe the good news is that the hoodie reigned supreme on the runway.
