Introduce us to your blog how did you get started?
Hi my name is Gemma and my blog is Jacquard Flower.
I started my blog after reading fashion blogs for many years before deciding to start my own. I have always been passionate about fashion and styling and have a background in fashion retail and styling.
How would you describe your style?
I dress classic and casual most of the time due to my lifestyle. I do like prints and wear them quite often but don’t really set myself any rules. If there is an event to attend that’s when I go for something a little more special and play with colours prints and fabrics that I wouldn’t usually wear day-to-day.
Where do you get your fashion inspiration?
I find fashion inspiration all around me, in the street: in magazines, Instagram, watching fashion shows, reading other blogs, Pinterest and more. I try to keep to my own style though and just take inspiration from these places to create something for myself.
What is the best part of blogging for you?
Definitely the interaction with the lovely people who take the time each day to visit my blog. What is a blog without its readers?
Who’s style are you currently obsessed with?
I have many style icons and all of them have very different styles. I try to take a little from each and apply them to the different areas of my life. Garance Dore, Kate the Duchess of Cambridge, Kourtney Kardashian, Bridgette Bardot, Olivia Palmero, and many more. All so different!
What’s your number one tip for making the most of the January sales?
Don’t impulse buy just because of the price. Have a clear list of what you are looking for before you shop. Try and plan for the season ahead, and always think about if an item you are looking to buy will work with the style and items you already have in your own wardrobe.
What are your favourite pieces from the bonprix winter sale?
The Paisley Wrap Dress is a classic dress that can be worn all year round and will never date.
Chelsea Boots are always a great buy and can be carried through from winter until spring - I love the bonprix Suede Chelsea Boots.
If you had one piece of fashion advice what would it be?
Fashion has no rules, so wear something that creates a style that reflects you, and not because it’s just a trend and everyone else is wearing it.
