November 8th 2014 is National Cappuccino Day – even more reason to get your caffeine fix!  We love our coffee here at bonprix UK HQ! Did you know that the cappuccino was created in Italy in the 1600’s. It got its name from an Italian order of monks known as the Catholic Capuchins – a group of friars that wore dark brown hoods, similar to the colour of the drink. And yes, the monkeys are named after them for the same reason.

Prepared with espresso, hot milk and topped with foamed milk, the cappuccino is a customary way to start your day in Italy. In the UK though we tend to drink it after dinner.

So visit your favourite coffee shop today and enjoy a delicious cup of cappuccino to celebrate.
