Wedding Outfit Inspiration
Author: bonprix team
Summer is in full swing with weddings but, as usual, the English summer weather is unpredictable which can cause difficulties deciding on a wedding outfit. Some of our favourite bloggers have kindly helped and put together fabulous wedding outfit ideas from our wedding shop. If you’re attending a wedding this summer and looking for an outfit to suit the weather, get some inspiration here!
Dipped Hem Dress
Jane from My Midlife Fashion chose to style one of our dipped hem dresses and let it speak for itself with understated accessories:
“As you can see I've kept the accessories pretty simple and gone with all black so the dress can do all the talking. A simple clutch, statement black heels that are shown off perfectly due to the beautiful raised hem, my fascinator, a tuxedo jacket for warmth and for jewellery I've just added a link bracelet”
Peplum Dress
Lauren from Belle Du Brighton chose one of our colour-block peplum dresses to style up for a wedding occasion:
“I love the bow detail at the waist, the slightly draped cap shoulders (so forgiving on the upper arms) and the fact that it has pockets! To style it I chose a multi strand pearl necklace and some beaded stacking bracelets in different tones to go with the dress, then added my trusty light pink waterfall cardigan. ”
Flare Dress
Dani from So Many Lovely Things picked our navy flare dress as it is ideal for the changeable English weather:
“The dress is perfect for the occasion. Its long sleeves are great for the unpredictable British weather, while the light pleated skirt still gives that summer vibe. I styled it with a beautiful clutch and nude shoes. Because the skirt is so delicate, I recommend wearing some support underwear, as you will get a pantyline with standard and especially lacy numbers.”
Shift Dress
Simone from Eltoria went for our colourful pastel haze shift dress as it’s perfect for a wedding on a sunny day:
“I personally think that this dress is amazing to wear on a hot summer’s day to a wedding party because it is ever so light and colourful. So coupled with some sunglasses and pimped out with some accessories, this dress is certainly a head turner on the dance floor.”

I think it has to be the black and white dress, lauren. A classic look!
Most weddings involve a fair bit of standing around outside and there’s no point wearing a gorgeous dress if it ends up hidden under a dreary coat. DO try the outfit on before you leave home if you’re going to be getting ready in a hotel.
