Bloggers We Love – Yuliya Oleynykova

For the latest edition of our Bloggers We Love series, we’d like to introduce Yuliya, writer of fashion and beauty blog Yukova Blog. Yuliya moved to London from Ukraine in 2014 and started her blog a year later. Read on as we get to know Yuliya a little better and don’t forget to keep up to date with her blog for more fashion and beauty inspiration.

Introduce us to Yukova Blog, how did you get started?

My name is Yuliya Oleynykova, the person behind Yukova fashion and beauty blog. I am a fashion, personal style and beauty blogger and I absolutely love what I do. I moved to the UK from Kiev in 2014 and started blogging on Tumblr before launching the independent website in June 2015. I create a fresh, high-quality content, covering my personal style, the latest designer and high street collections, trend reviews, style tips, beauty launches and much more.

How would you describe your style?

I really love bold colours and prints. I love to match clothing that other people may not think of. I would say that my style is cute, girly, fun and bold. I also have a love for bodycon dresses. I think as a woman you have to embrace your womanliness and sexy side.

Where do you get your fashion inspiration?

I don’t have a particular style or fashion inspiration source as such. My fashion inspiration is a mix of everything I do and see. I’m constantly researching, following other blogger's Instagram, and attending press days. This all inspires me to establish my personal style!

What is the best part of blogging for you?

Blogging is a lifestyle for me, I cannot imagine a day without writing and creating a new content, such as useful articles for my blog readers and fun content for Instagram, Facebook, and Youtube. I would say that the best part of it is being creative and meeting a lot of interesting and talented people within the fashion and beauty industry, working on projects and editorials with them. Through blogging, I do what I love every day and manage to pay my bills too!

Whose style are you currently obsessed with?

I really love the style of Renata Litvinova. She is a Russian screenwriter, actress, and director. I love her personal style which is 1940’s glamour. She always looks sophisticated and well put together which I love. Her style to me also represents femininity which I aim to represent.

What is your must-have item for this summer?

I always find myself obsessed with the newest addition to my wardrobe. Currently, my fashion must-have is a wide-leg jumpsuit. I feel like it's a perfect, comfortable and very versatile fashion piece to have in your wardrobe for summer.

What are your favourite pieces from the bonprix holiday shop?

Looking at the products online I prefer maxi dresses as they are the perfect style for summer - bright and comfortable. I would be very excited to work with bonprix and explore their holiday collection more.

If you had to share one piece of fashion advice, what would it be?

Don't follow trends blindly! I feel like nothing is better than being yourself and develop your personal style. When you wear what you like you feel confident and people can understand your personality better.

What are you most looking forward to this summer?

Summer is my favourite time of the year. I'm looking forward to meeting more talented people, developing Yukova even more and posting on my Youtube channel. Summer in London always inspires me to get creative, so I have no doubt it's going to be fun!
